UCSD establishes chair in ophthalmology

San Diego-The University of California San Diego's (UCSD) Shiley Eye Center recently received $2 million to establish a distinguished chair in ophthalmology.

San Diego-The University of California San Diego's (UCSD) Shiley Eye Center recently received $2 million to establish a distinguished chair in ophthalmology.

Tatiana A. Lansche provided the endowment to honor the work and memory of her late husband, Richard K. Lansche, MD, a San Diego-area ophthalmologist, said Stuart Brown, MD, chairman of the Shiley Eye Center.

The gift will be used to establish the Dr. Richard and Tatiana Lansche Distinguished Chair in Ophthalmology.
