Richard Lindstrom, MD: "Building" on ophthalmic innovation

As part of a one-on-one interview with Gil Kliman, MD, managing director of InterWest Partners, Dr. Lindstrom recalled how he was primed as a boy for the construction business by his father, before medicine chose him during an honors student mentorship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Lindstrom was persuaded to go to medical school. The decision catapulted Dr. Lindstrom’s career as ophthalmologist, surgeon, and product innovator.
