Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) is participating in the Women in Ophthalmology (WIO) summer symposium in Williamsburg, VA.

Bodega Bay, CA-Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) has announced its participation at the Women in Ophthalmology (WIO) summer symposium, to be held Aug. 9 to 12 at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.

The symposium provides clinicians, researchers, and other ophthalmic professionals with scientific and practice management education, leadership programs, and networking events. OWL will host a session at the symposium entitled “You CAN Get There From Here,” moderated by OWL President Jan Beiting.

“Our organization is extremely enthusiastic about returning to the summer symposium,” Beiting said. “Previous collaborations with WIO have proven effective means for educating industry specialists, facilitating networking, and promoting the leadership role of women throughout ophthalmology.”

“WIO is honored to host a session presented by OWL at this year’s summer symposium,” said Carolyn Anderson, MD, WIO summer symposium program chairwoman. “It’s our mission to provide symposium participants top-quality education and growth opportunities. Having worked with OWL in the past, we are confident that its special presentation will help us realize that mission.”

Meeting registration is available through Aug. 2. For more information, visit www.wioonline.org/index.php/meetings/59.
