Hasbrouck Heights, NJ-U.S. MedSys Corp. has formed the PMC Ocular Network, a group of 1,100 ophthalmologists in 14 states that will be presented to healthcare payers concerned with escalating costs of diabetes care.

The company, which will own 51% of the network, is contracting with Wills Eye Surgical Network to assist PMC Ocular in executing provider agreements with physicians who use Wills' facilities. The Wills network also will allow its facilities-those controlled directly or indirectly by the Trust under the will of James Will Jr.-to participate in PMC Ocular Network.

The ocular network, which is expected to grow over the next year, complements the company's PMC/Foot Care Network, which treats diabetics with disease-related foot problems. The ocular network helps provide a total healthcare delivery platform for diabetic patients; other segments of that platform address wound care, diabetic supply, and orthotics/diabetic shoes.
