Fremont, CA-Nidek Inc. has launched two new lasers to the U.S. market: its fifth-generation Nd:YAG laser solution-the YC-1800 ophthalmic YAG laser system-and the MC-300 multicolor laser photocoagulator system.

The company said the Nd:YAG system boasts innovative laser delivery and output technologies, improved operability, fast operation, adjustable Nd:YAG offset, and a compact design.

Meanwhile, Nidek launched its MC-300 after receiving FDA marketing clearance April 15. The photocoagulator delivers three laser wavelengths-659, 561, and 532 nm-for retinal applications and disease treatments and management, and offers digitally controlled instant duty cycles that allow the laser to be used at rapid speeds and high powers for extended periods.
