Mobile clinic helps tornado victims

Eyenstein,? VSP Vision Care?s mobile eye-care clinic, arrived in Birmingham, AL, 3 days after deadly tornadoes raked the state. The mobile clinic, which is equipped with a comprehensive eye exam room, a full eyewear dispensary, and a lens finishing lab donated by Santinelli International, participated in disaster relief at Red Cross and Federal Emergency Management Agency shelters throughout Alabama.

Hauppauge, NY-“Eyenstein”-VSP Vision Care’s mobile eye-care clinic-arrived in Birmingham, AL, 3 days after deadly tornadoes raked the state.

The mobile clinic, which is equipped with a comprehensive eye exam room, a full eyewear dispensary, and a lens finishing lab donated by Santinelli International, participated in disaster relief at Red Cross and Federal Emergency Management Agency shelters throughout Alabama.

Niki Myers, VSP Vision Care’s mobile clinics operations manager, said some patients arrived squinting and feeling their way around the clinic because they couldn’t see. “It’s heartbreaking to see all of the devastation and hear the stories of those who lost so much. We’ve been cranking through tons of orders, 6 days a week.”
