The National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) has approved AMO's LASIK technologies for use on US astronauts.
The NASA decision was based on a review of extensive military clinical data using AMO's Advanced CustomVue LASIK with the IntraLase Method, which demonstrated that the combination of technologies offered good safety and vision results.
The all-laser LASIK technologies, which use wavefront-guided and femtosecond lasers, have also been cleared for US military personnel, including Air Force pilots.
