Factual Review of Lid Margin Disease
Lid margin disease is a common, chronic disease with a broad and potentially serious impact. The signs and symptoms associated with lid margin disease can affect quality of life, and its sequelae can result in permanent tissue damage and loss of vision. Lid margin disease is also an important risk factor for complications and suboptimal outcomes in patients undergoing ocular surgery.
