Eyelid spray may benefit meibomian gland dysfunction

Article

A new eyelid spray (Tears Again advanced liposome spray, OcuSOFT) is available that may benefit patients suffering from meibomian gland dysfunction.

Richmond, TX-A new eyelid spray (Tears Again advanced Liposome Spray, OcuSOFT) is available that may benefit patients suffering from meibomian gland dysfunction.

The eyelid spray contains nutrients including antioxidants and vitamins A, C, and E. Applied directly to eyelids with the eyes closed, the patented formula contains microscopic liposomes that enhance absorption and lubricate to protect against moisture loss.

Because daily lid hygiene is important for healthy eyes, the product is ideal for use in conjunction with the company's eyelid cleansers (OCuSOFT Lid Scrub) to remove oil and debris from the eyelid that can contribute to eye irritation, the company said in a prepared statement.

Alternatively, patients may order product directly from http://www.ocusoft.com/ (shipping is free of charge).
