New expert‑led series explores how ophthalmic innovations move from early development to market‑ready therapies through cross‑functional collaboration.

Eyecelerator, in collaboration with Unither Pharmaceuticals and Ora, Inc., has launched Eye to Market, a web-based educational series designed to clarify how ophthalmic innovations progress from early scientific discovery to clinically validated, commercially viable therapies. The initiative targets a broad professional audience, including clinicians, clinical investigators, innovators, and industry stakeholders, and emphasizes the multidisciplinary coordination required to translate promising concepts into accessible patient care solutions.

The series sheds light on how innovations progress through the pipeline: while innovation in therapeutics and devices continues to accelerate, the end-to-end pathway from bench to bedside remains opaque to many clinicians and early-stage developers. Eye to Market presents structured, expert-led discussions spanning the full product lifecycle. Topics include translational research, patient-centric innovation, manufacturing and delivery platforms, regulatory and market entry, and global entry, according to a press release issued by Eyecelerator.

“Eye to Market was created to demystify the innovation pathway in ophthalmology,” said Gil Kliman, MD, program director for Eyecelerator. “By opening the conversation across disciplines, we hope to help innovators and partners navigate complexity and ultimately deliver better outcomes for patients.”

A central theme of the series is the importance of partnership and cross-functional collaboration. Unither Pharmaceuticals contributes expertise in contract development and manufacturing, with a specific focus on sterile ophthalmic production and blow-fill-seal unit-dose technologies. Ora, Inc., an ophthalmic contract research organization, provides perspective on clinical development. Its role encompasses protocol design, endpoint selection, regulatory alignment, and execution of multicenter trials across global populations.

Content is delivered in short, focused episodes led by experts that will be published on the Eyecelerator YouTube channel and shared across partner channels for broad access, according to the press release.

Eyecelerator, a partner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, is self-described as having the goal of advancing eye care innovation by connecting mission-driven entrepreneurs, investors, physicians, and business leaders through next-generation business conferences.
