Dallas-Sales of Varilux Physio have surpassed the one million mark, with one million pairs sold worldwide, according to Essilor of America Inc.

"This one million sales milestone is very exciting for Varilux Physio," said Carl Bracy, vice president of marketing, Essilor of America Inc. "We are delighted by the market's excitement and the need for WAVE [Wavefront Advanced Vision Enhancement] technology."

In January 2006, Essilor launched Varilux Physio 360° and Varilux Physio lenses to deliver the corrective WAVE technology to presbyopic patients. Studies conducted by Essilor among more than 2,000 patients showed that wearers preferred Varilux Physio no matter what the ametropia, age of the patient, or previous type of lens.
