Alcon acquires Endure Medical Systems

Alcon has acquired Endure Medical Systems, a Cumming, GA-based company that designs, develops, and manufactures products specific to surgical microscopy.

Fort Worth, TX-Alcon has acquired Endure Medical Systems, a Cumming, GA-based company that designs, develops, and manufactures products and accessories specific to surgical microscopy.

“The Endure Medical Systems full line of ophthalmic microscopes enhances our cataract surgery portfolio, offering an innovative solution for surgeons to improve cataract surgery outcomes [further],” said Stuart Raetzman, Alcon’s head of global commercial strategy.

Alcon will immediately begin marketing Endure’s proprietary ophthalmic surgical microscopes (LuxOR) as part of its cataract surgery portfolio in the United States. Alcon plans a worldwide phased roll-out in 2013.
