AAO/APAO meeting draws best from U.S., Asia pacific nations

This year's scientific program includes more than 500 peer-reviewed courses.

The final event of this year's program will be "Lo Mejor de la Academia en Español" (The Best of the Academy in Spanish), from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at The Venetian Hotel in the Marcello Ballroom.

Subspecialty days

Retina 2006: Emerging New Concepts will be held at the Wynn Las Vegas, Latour Ballroom, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Optional discussion groups, led by members of the faculty, will be held during lunch on Friday. Retina subspecialty day exhibits will be open at the Wynn, Lafite Ballroom on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 2006 Gala Dinner and Dance, sponsored by the AAO and the International Society of Refractive Surgery, will be held Friday from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Venetian in the San Polo Ballroom. A number of prestigious awards will be given during the evening.

Glaucoma 2006: Beating the Odds is a Saturday-only subspecialty program from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Sands Expo/Venetian, Venetian Ballroom F.
