NSAIDS and AMD

Reporting for the Medical News Minute, Doug Katsev, MD, shares the findings from a study regarding NSAID use and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology, a prospective cohort study of over 50,000 men looking at the relationship between age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and NSAID use over 7 years. The study found a lower risk of exudative AMD in long-term NSAID users, pointing to a potential protective effect.
