Peoria, IL-Maui Jim’s new promotion, “Surf and Win with Maui Jim,” offers people the chance to win a new pair of sunglasses and one of two surfboards used in the film “Soul Surfer: The Inspiring True Story of Bethany Hamilton” and autographed by cast members.

The brand’s latest styles, featured as the official sunglasses of the film, will arrive in stores this spring. They include patented technology (PolarizedPlus2) designed to reduce glare from above, below, in front, and behind each lens. Up to nine layers of ultraviolet radiation protection are built into each lens, according to the company.

The film, which opened in wide release April 8, tells the story of Hamilton, who lost her left arm in a shark attack and went on to become a champion surfer again. AnnaSophia Robb stars as the surfer, her parents are portrayed by Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt, and former “American Idol” winner and country singer Carrie Underwood plays the leader of the youth group to which Hamilton belongs.

No purchase is necessary to participate in the contest. Find official sweepstakes rules at www.mauijim.com; the contest runs through April 30.
