Visionaries reflect on last 35 years of cataract surgery

The "Father of Phaco," Charles D. Kelman,MD, and seven other visionaries who have influenced the practice of cataractsurgery traced the development and evolution of the phacoemulsificationtechnique and speculate on the future of cataract surgery during a specialevening session Monday at the annual meeting of the American Academy ofOphthalmology.
