Ramsey, MN-Floods that affected much of Jakarta, Indonesia, in February did not interrupt production at the Vision-Ease Lens facility located near the city.

Vision-Ease's production facility is located on high ground in a secure industrial estate 50 miles outside of Jakarta. Its employees live nearby in higher elevations. Vision-Ease provides employees with transportation to and from work each day, and there have been no instances of absenteeism related to the flooding.

Closer to Jakarta, the flooding was more severe, and there were temporary effects on the transportation infrastructure. The ports have reopened, and Vision-Ease shipments left on time as per original schedules. Supplies of raw materials and supplies for production also have not been affected.
