Ramsey, MN-Vision-Ease Lens was honored recently with a Minnesota Governor's Safety Award presented during a luncheon at the Minnesota Safety & Health Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Doug Hepper, president and chief executive officer, Vision-Ease Lens, said, "We're honored by the recognition from the Minnesota Safety Council, because it's a reflection of our dedication to minimizing risks in the workplace and keeping employee safety a priority."

Each year, nearly six million workers suffer non-fatal workplace injuries at an annual cost to U.S. businesses of more than $125 billion, according to the Minnesota Safety Council.

To be honored with a Governor's Safety Award, a participant submits records of injuries that are compared with national and state data, as well as the entrant's past performance.
