Vision at all distances

The standard of care with cataracts has been to remove a patient's clouded lens and provide a new monofocal intraocular lens (IOL). These monofocal lenses are excellent at providing good vision at a single, fixed focal length usually distance. However, patients must still rely on glasses for near and intermediate vision.
