Vacation is prize

If you sell either or both of two brands of polarized lenses (Coppertone and SunRx, Vision-Ease Lens [VEL]), you can enter a drawing to win a grand prize vacation through a new ?Endless Summer? promotion.

Ramsey, MN-If you sell either or both of two brands of polarized lenses (Coppertone and SunRx, Vision-Ease Lens [VEL]), you can enter a drawing to win a grand prize vacation through a new “Endless Summer” promotion.

Retailers may earn three tickets for each pair of one of the brands (Coppertone) sold and one ticket for each pair of the other brand sold April 1 through July 31. At the end of the promotion, VEL will inform each registered retailer of the number of tickets for which they qualify. Retailers then will assign individual dispenser names to entries and return them to VEL. The grand prize, a vacation with a destination of the winner’s choosing, and hundreds of other prizes including backpacks, t-shirts, and more, will be drawn 3 to 5 weeks after the promotion ends.

Launched in October 2007, one of the brands (Coppertone) has polarized lenses that block 100% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) A and UVB rays, according to the company. These lenses are designed to offer more protection from high-energy visible (HEV) light than ordinary lenses.

The lenses of the other brand (SunRx) eliminate 99% of reflected glare, are scratch-resistant, and are up to 10 times more impact-resistant than ordinary sun lenses, according to the company.
