Atlanta-CIBA Vision recently launched a television commercial for O2OPTIX contact lenses, narrated by Brenda Strong, the actress who provides the narration of ABC's top-rated series "Desperate Housewives."

During the 30-second ad, the narrator tells contact lens wearers that "to have healthy eyes, your eyes need oxygen." The spot wraps up with the narrator encouraging viewers to visit http://O2OPTIX.com/ to get a certificate for a free trial pair of lenses.

"This familiar voice will increase recognition of the O2OPTIX brand, as well as attract new O2OPTIX contact lens wearers," said Jeff Cohen, vice president of marketing, North America, CIBA Vision.

The commercial will air during top-rated shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, TBS, TNT, and USA networks, reaching an estimated 150 million consumers.
