Transitions, Thai Optical partner to expand markets

Bangkok, Thailand-Transitions Optical Inc. has formed a distribution partnership with Thai Optical Group, enabling the independent manufacturer and distributor to offer a broad range of Transitions Lenses to a larger market.

Bangkok, Thailand-Transitions Optical Inc. has formed a distribution partnership with Thai Optical Group, enabling the independent manufacturer and distributor to offer a broad range of Transitions Lenses to a larger market.

Under the new agreement, Thai Optical Group will now offer Transitions Lenses in standard 1.50 materials and other premium materials, including 1.60 and 1.67 materials, and the high-impact Trivex material developed by PPG Industries Inc. under the brand name Excelite TVX. The lenses were made available starting in the third quarter of 2006.

Paul Peiffer, managing director, Transitions Optical Asia Pacific, said, "More consumers will now have greater access to automatic UV and glare protection and enhanced visual quality and comfort through Thai Optical's distribution around the world.
