Orlando, FL-More than 1,000 industry professionals journeyed from around the world to Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort for the 2007 Transitions Academy, Jan. 25 to 27.

Theme of the 11th annual academy was "Enlightened Leadership." At the opening general session, the international audience was welcomed by Dave Cole, general manager of the Americas, Transitions Optical Inc., and Jose Alves, general manager, Latin America, Transitions. This 2007 academy is all about empowering our partners to better serve their customers using their own unique talents and credentials."

Next, Brett Craig, Transitions chief operating officer, told how this year's academy program would help bridge the gap between patient interest and action. Grady Lenski, Transitions director of strategy and commercial operations, spotlighted new programs and tools from Transitions Optical, including the new Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund, the Spin & Win sweepstakes, and an advertising partnership with "Wheel of Fortune."
