Study findings emphasize need to screen and warn surgery candidatesabout dry eye

Pittsburgh-LASIK causes sensory deprivation of the ocular surface,which results in disruption of ocular surface tear dynamics and developmentof irritation symptoms that can persist for many months after the refractivesurgery procedure, according to results of a recently published study.
