Studies point to retinopathy as inflammatory disease
Miami-Results of a series of experiments in animal models support the hypothesis that diabetic retinopathy is an inflammatory disease and point to new therapeutic targets for preventing vision loss, said Anthony P. Adamis, MD, at the Angiogenesis 2004 meeting.
