Pinellas Park, FL-A line of photochromic performance sunwear (SOLFX, Transitions) debuted to more than 40,000 golf industry attendees at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show Jan. 26 to 29 in Orlando.

Customers-including Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America and Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) officials; retail and equipment buyers; golf course owners, managers, and developers; and golf instructors-showed an interest in learning more about photochromic lenses, the technology behind the color and tint selection, and availability of prescription options, according to the company.

“More than half of the attendees we spoke with at the show asked about prescription lens options,” said Paul Castner, director, Transitions Championship and official marketing partnership, Transitions Optical. “This show reinforced our belief that a lens is just as important as a driver or putter when it comes to choosing golf equipment for your game.”
