Rancho Cordova, CA-Eyefinity and Walman Optical-the largest independent ophthalmic company in the United States-will jointly develop a new means of processing lab orders placed on Eyefinity that will eliminate the need for manual data entry at the lab.

The new system will expedite the processing of lab orders and reduce errors associated with data entry, the companies said. Orders will be sent directly into the lab's software system for processing. The interface will be installed in all Walman Optical labs through the rest of the year.

In return, Eyefinity will provide marketing services for Walman's network of optical laboratories.
