Santinelli honors HS student

Santinelli International has bestowed its second annual Santinelli International Award. The merit-based award was presented to Gaspar Ramirez, a senior at George Westinghouse High School in Brooklyn, NY. The high school has a vision care technology program, and Santinelli International is a member of the school?s Optical Council.

Hauppauge, NY, and New York City-Santinelli International has bestowed its second annual Santinelli International Award. The merit-based award was presented to Gaspar Ramirez, a senior at George Westinghouse High School in Brooklyn, NY.

The high school has a vision care technology program, and Santinelli International is a member of the school’s Optical Council.

George Westinghouse’s Vision Care Program teaches optics, lensometry, pattern making, full frame edging, hand beveling, and basic tinting of lenses. It covers fabricating single vision and multifocal eye glasses, surface grinding of prescriptions onto glass and plastic lenses, shaping to fit frames, pattern making, automatic and hand leveling of lenses using varied optical instruments, and advanced optical and computer aided machinery.

Santinelli International is a distributor of lens-edging equipment.
