Safilo, Liz Claiborne renew licensing pact

Safilo Group and Liz Claiborne Inc. have extended their current licensing agreement until the end of 2012.

Padua, Italy-Safilo Group and Liz Claiborne Inc. have extended their current licensing agreement until the end of 2012. The agreement calls for the design, production, and marketing of Liz Claiborne and Claiborne eyewear collections for the American market as well as a range of proprietary Liz Claiborne Inc. brands.

"We are pleased to continue this partnership," said Vittorio Tabacchi, chairman of Safilo Group, "which has enjoyed ongoing success in the American market for many years."

Benedetta Casamento, president, Liz Claiborne Brands, said that Safilo "has been an invaluable partner in the development and marketing of many of our eyewear collections." Casamento add-ed, "Liz Claiborne is extremely pleased to be extending our relationship with Safilo Group."
