Philadelphia-What a difference 20 years can make. In 1982, David J. Apple, MD, along with Randall Olson, MD, and the help of private industry, founded The Center for Intraocular Lens Research at the University of Utah in the hopes of pursuing his two greatest passions-ophthalmology and pa-thology.
