Refractec hires sales director

Irvine, CA-Refractec Inc. has hired R. Keith Burgess for the newly created position of director of international sales.

Burgess, who will report to Senior Vice President Tom Frinzi, most recently worked with Advanced Medical Optics, where he participated in the U.S. launch of the Verisyse phakic IOL and spent 2 years overseeing sales of the Sovereign Phaco System and Amadeus microkeratome in the Asian Pacific region. He will work with particular emphasis to boost sales in Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America.
