Refractec appoints vice president, U.S. sales

Irvine, CA—Refractec Inc. has named Pat Makris to its newly created position of vice president of U.S. sales.

Irvine, CA-Refractec Inc. has named Pat Makris to its newly created position of vice president of U.S. sales.

He will oversee the company's sales force, which is expanding as the company experienced a 50% increase in revenue in 2004.

Makris joins Refractec from Guidant Corp.'s cardiac surgery division, where he was director of sales. He previously spent 10 years in the ophthalmic device division of Johnson & Johnson, managing sales of IOLs and phaco equipment.
