OWL members toast networking, wine etiquette

Members of the Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) gathered for an evening reception of networking and wine tasting at the St. Regis Hotel, Monday, March 20. On hand was Napa Valley wine expert Michael Ouellette, who presented a variety of wines, including wines from vineyards owned by ophthalmology?s very own Thomas Mazzocco, MD, Van Nuys, CA; Robert Sinskey, MD, Santa Monica, CA; and Vance Thompson, MD, Sioux Falls, SD.

Members of the Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) gathered for an evening reception of networking and wine tasting at the St. Regis Hotel on Monday. A variety of wines were available for sampling, including wines from vineyards owned by ophthalmology's very own Thomas Mazzocco, MD, Van Nuys, CA; Robert Sinskey, MD, Santa Monica, CA; and Vance Thompson, MD, Sioux Falls, SD.

The OWL audience learned several ways to impress guests/clients with their knowledge of wines, how to pair wines with food, and business dinner etiquette.

Door prizes from Sinskey Vineyards and other wine country favorites were also awarded to OWL members. OWL's mission is to facilitate networking and promote professional development for women aspiring to leadership positions in the ophthalmic industry.
