Ophthalmic device maker celebrates 110 years

Wetzlar-Dutenhofen, Germany—Oculus Optikger?te GmbH, manufacturer of ophthalmic diagnostic devices, celebrated its 110th anniversary with a reception that included 170 suppliers, researchers, and partners from the ophthalmic industry.

Two professors spoke about the company's development of visual field analyzers and addressed the company's influence on visual function and traffic. Guests included Hideo Ozawa, president and founder of Nidek C. Ltd., and Thomas Nosch, head of the federation of German opticians.
