New device uses blade, cartridge, bar applanator to produce flap

Reseda, CA-The Centurion SES Microkeratome, recently approved by the FDA, has features that differentiate it from conventional microkeratomes used for standard LASIK procedures: a combination blade/cartridge component, a bar applanator, and a resultant gutterless flap.
