Medical therapy, trabeculectomy offer protection for OAG
Aggressive topical medical therapy and trabeculectomy offer equal protection against visual field loss to patients with newly diagnosed open-angle glaucoma (OAG). This is the conclusion, based on the current follow-up of patients enrolled in the ongoing Collaborative Initial Glaucoma Treatment Study (CIGTS).
