May 1 is the nomination deadline for the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) Lewis Rudin Glaucoma Prize.

New York-May 1 is the nomination deadline for the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) Lewis Rudin Glaucoma Prize.

The $50,000 award recognizes a scholarly article about glaucoma published in a peer-reviewed journal within the previous calendar year and deemed most outstanding. Nominees must be the first or last author of the published work and must hold primary responsibility for the research.

The prize was established in 1995 in honor of a New York City real estate developer. It is funded by the May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation with additional support from Jack Rudin.

The winner will be announced in July.
