The Neuro-Ophthalmology Virtual Education Library (NOVEL) is a digital library produced through collaboration between the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library (EHSL) at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS), Minneapolis.

The NOVEL project has been made possible by a grant from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and is in the final year of a 3-year funding cycle. Kathleen B. Digre, MD, University of Utah, and Larry P. Frohman, MD, New Jersey Medical School, Newark, are co-principal investigators on the NLM grant with Nancy Lombardo, MLS, systems librarian at the EHSL. Valeri Craigle, MLS, is the project coordinator and Web designer, also at the EHSL. All technical support for the project is located at the EHSL.
