IntraLase sales, volume continue to rise

Irvine, CA-IntraLase Corp. sold 30 lasers during its second quarter ended June 30, bringing the total number of its lasers to 153 units globally.

Irvine, CA-IntraLase Corp. sold 30 lasers during its second quarter ended June 30, bringing the total number of its lasers to 153 units globally.

More than 48,000 procedures were performed with the lasers during the second quarter, representing an increase of about 150% compared with the same period last year.

According to the company, MarketScope reports that IntraLase's laser-created flaps accounted for about 14% of all LASIK procedures performed during the second quarter, up from 12% during the first quarter of the year.

Haffey was the vice president of business development and a member of the executive management team. He will lead the new commercial operation, which houses sales, marketing, customer and technical support, and field service.

Devnew was a regional sales manager. He will now be responsible for managing key corporate accounts.
