Gatifloxacin kills conjunctival bacterial flora at 1-hour and 1-day dosing
Topical gatifloxacin (Zymar, Allergan) administered either 1 day or 1 hour prior to anterior segment surgery is effective in eliminating conjunctival bacteria.
