Nicknamed "the Food Dude" by talk show host Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Pratt believes total health is achieved through diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management, among other factors. Spices, including black pepper and cinnamon, can contribute to better health. Dark chocolate, honey, and kiwi offer such nutritional benefits that they are what he terms "super foods."

Dr. Pratt is the author of "SuperFoods Rx," "SuperFoods," and "HealthStyle."
