EyeCare America consumer health Web site wins awards

At the 11th annual Healthcare Internet Conference, EyeCare America won two 2007 eHealthcare Leadership Awards-the Gold Award for Best Web Site Design and the Silver Award for Best Interactive Site.

San Francisco-At the 11th annual Healthcare Internet Conference, EyeCare America won two 2007 eHealthcare Leadership Awards-the Gold Award for Best Web Site Design and the Silver Award for Best Interactive Site. Both wins were in the category of consumer disease-focused Web site.

The non-profit organization recently launched its EyeCare America Web site- http://www.eyecareamerica.org/-as part of its educational mission. The Web site provides consumers with centralized health information written in language that is designed to be clear and easy to understand.

"Our goal is to empower consumers with the most reliable eye-health information available," said Allison Neves, director of communications, EyeCare America.
