Excimer laser trabeculotomy (or excimer laser trabeculostomy; ELT) ab interno is one of many minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) to reduce IOP by re-establishing physiological outflow pathways. All MIGS techniques that target the trabecular meshwork have one major disadvantage. They drain against episcleral venous pressure.
