ESCRS announces 2005 board of directors

Lisbon, Portugal – The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) has announced its 2005 board members at the XXIII Congress of ESCRS. The new board will serve a 4-year term.

Lisbon, Portugal – The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) has announced its 2005 board members at the XXIII Congress of ESCRS. The new board will serve a 4-year term.

The newly elected board members are: Gerd Auffarth, MD, of Germany; Joseph Colin, MD, of France; Oliver Findl, MD, of Austria; Richard Packard, MD, of the United Kingdom; David Spalton, MD, also of the United Kingdom; and Manfred Tetz, MD, of Germany.

“I am delighted to welcome the members to the board,” said Marie-Jose Tassignon, MD, president of ESCRS. “All are already actively involved in the work of the society and their considerable knowledge and experience will be of great benefit to the board over the next 4 years.”

Dr. Tassignon also thanked the retiring board members for the contributions to ESCRS. The outgoing board members are: Jorge Alio, MD; Jorge Krumeich, MD; Paul Rosen, MD, and Ulf Stenevi, MD.
