Dr. Wafapoor joins staff at Retina Health Center

Fort Myers, FL-Retina Health Center is pleased to announce the addition of Hussein Wafapoor, MD, to the staff of its Fort Myers and Naples, FL, offices. Dr. Wafapoor brings extensive experience in the treatment of retinal disorders, particularly diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

After receiving his medical degree at the University of Catolica De Cordoba in Argentina, Dr. Wafapoor completed a residency in ophthalmology in Argentina. Dr. Wafapoor completed his retina training at the Louisiana State University Eye Center under Gholam A. Peyman, MD.

Dr. Wafapoor also completed a second ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi medical center in Jackson, MS, in order to receive a medical license in the United States, where he has served as assistant professor in the vitreoretinal service for more than 5 years.
