Doctors may add data to Web resource

Article

New York—Vision Connection, an online resource of Lighthouse International for those with vision impairment and rehabilitation, has added an enhanced searchable database.

New York-Vision Connection, an online resource of Lighthouse International for those with vision impairment and rehabilitation, has added an enhanced searchable database.

The "Help Near You" section allows users to search more than 5,000 vision rehabilitation services, low-vision clinics, support groups, and more. The site has added information on more than 1,000 low-vision practitioners, and allows practitioners and organizations to submit and update their own data online.

Ophthalmologists who would like to list themselves on the database may complete an enrollment form on the American Academy of Ophthalmology Web site at http://www.aao.org/aao/patient_ed/smartsight.cfm
