Dietary Supplement can Help Those at Risk for Advanced AMD

Bethesda, MD-A dietary supplement containing high doses of the antioxidants vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, and zinc reduces the risk of developing advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by about 25% and the associated vision loss by about 19%, according to the results of the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS).
