Washington, DC-The contact Lens council (CLC) launched a Web site, www.mycontactlenses.org, to educate people about the innovations available in contact lenses and how to be informed contact lens users.

More than 35 million Americans have chosen to use contact lenses, however, many are unclear about the most current information, the importance of proper lens care, and the range of lifestyle benefits now offered.

According to CLC Executive Director Edward Schilling, consumers look to the Internet for news and advancements. With its new Web site CLC hopes to introduce the benefits of contact lenses to new customers.

Features of the Web site include frequently asked questions from all ages to a complete overview of contact lenses currently available, as well as some little-known facts about contact lenses.
