Atlanta-CIBA Vision has donated $15,000 to LensCrafters Foundation's Gift of Sight program to help provide free eyecare and eyeglasses to underserved people around the world.

The program involves volunteer associates and doctors who deliver recycled glasses in developing countries and new glasses in North America through LensCrafters stores and on two Vision Vans.

"Our goal as a corporate citizen is to provide 'better eyes for a better life,'" said Karen Gough, president of CIBA Vision North America, in a prepared statement. "We believe that achieving this goal means more than just manufacturing and marketing contact lenses. It means getting involved with and supporting efforts like Gift of Sight that reach out to those individuals who may never receive eyecare or vision correction."
