Beyond the trials: Pegcetacoplan slows GA progression in eyes with concurrent nAMD

Geographic atrophy (GA), secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), remains one of the most challenging conditions in retina, and while pegcetacoplan (Syfovre) has established itself as a treatment option for GA, its pivotal trials excluded a substantial real-world population: patients with GA and concurrent neovascular AMD.
